A QuizPerCard multiple-choice question on Difference Equations: the sequence 2, 9, 28, 65, 126, 217 with its first and second differences, four answer options, and a worked explanation showing the third differences are constant so the rule is cubic. — A real question from strand 8. Every answer explains the reasoning and names the mistake the wrong options come from - here, stopping at the second differences and concluding the sequence is not polynomial.

Taking Applied Maths without a class

Plenty of schools do not offer it, so you are working through the course on your own or in an evening grind. The strands are ordered the way the course builds, so you can start at strand 1 knowing you have not skipped what the next one depends on.

Sitting it in school, revising alone

You have the class and the textbook. What you do not have is a fast way to find out which strand you are weakest at before a test tells you. Answer twenty questions and it is obvious.

How a session works

Each one has its own set of questions in the app, and written notes you can read first.

Networks and Graphs (strand 11) and Optimal Paths (strand 12) have their questions in the app, but the written notes for them are not up yet, so they are not listed above. Those two posts are next.
